The 2013 Annual Dinner and Lecture

06/11/13

The ILA's 24th Anniversary Annual Dinner, held under the dinosaur in the impressive Great Hall of the Natural History Museum in London, was a memorable evening. Over 400 members and guests from solicitors' firms, barristers' chambers and other leading UK and overseas organisations attended the prestigious black tie event.

ILA members enjoyed the highly informative pre-dinner lecture delivered by The Honourable Mr. Justice David Richards on the role of the Judge in insolvency.

Following dinner, Rita Lowe gave her Presidential address and took the opportunity to thank members of the ILA Technical Committee and the Council who give so much time, committment and energy to the Association. Rita introduced Lord Dobbs of Wylye who entertained guests with stories and anecdotes covering his political career at Margaret Thatcher's side and the creation of The House of Cards.

Rita thanked American Appraisal for their valued support in sponsoring the event for the second year running and asked the Association to join her in thanking the team from Weil Gotshal & Manges, led by Adam Plainer and Ann Burditt, for their superb organisation of another fantastic evening.
