European Commission consultation on the harmonisation of specific areas of insolvency law

In pursuance of the 'New European Approach to Business Failure and Insolvency', which was launched in December 2012, the European Commission has issued a public consultation on the harmonisation of specific areas of insolvency law. The Technical Committee will be responding to the consultation. The deadline for responses is 11 October 2013. The consultation click can be accessed here.  The on-going draft proposals for reform of the EC Regulation on Insolvency (2000/1346) (also issued in December 2012) form part of this same initiative.
