The Hon. Mr Justice Snowden - Richard specialised in company law, corporate insolvency and financial services litigation whilst at the Bar, and was a member of the Insolvency Rules Committee between 2002 and 2012. He was appointed as a High Court Judge in 2015 and has given judgments in a large number of insolvency and restructuring cases since. In September 2019 he was appointed as the Supervising Judge for the Business and Property Courts in the North of England. He is an editor of Lightman and Moss on the Law of Administrators and Receivers of Companies and regularly lectures and participates in conferences in the UK and abroad.
David Allison QC - David specialises in business, commercial and financial law, with a particular emphasis on corporate restructuring (both domestic and cross-border), sovereign debt restructuring, banking and financial services, structured finance, commercial litigation and company matters. He has an extensive overseas practice which includes Cayman, BVI, Dubai, Jersey and Guernsey. He has acted as an expert witness in proceedings in a number of overseas jurisdictions.
Lindsay Hingston – Lindsay is a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and advises across the full spectrum of stakeholders and processes on both domestic and cross-border restructuring matters. Her experience includes acting on schemes of arrangement, company voluntary arrangements, security enforcements, pre-packs and other formal insolvency appointments, intercreditor disputes, out-of-court restructurings and distressed M&A. Recent mandates include advising Debenhams on its response to Covid-19, as well as its previous pre-pack administration and company voluntary arrangements.
Jennifer Marshall - Jennifer is a former ILA president and current partner at Allen & Overy, specialising in a wide range of work in commercial, banking, restructuring and insolvency law. She advises generally on issues arising in taking and enforcing of security, structuring transactions to mitigate against the effects of insolvency and cross-border restructuring transactions. She recently advised Virgin Atlantic Airlines on the first use of the restructuring plan.
Sean Lacey - Sean is a partner in the Restructuring Practice Group in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Sean represents investment funds, financial sponsors, financial institutions and corporate borrowers in connection with transactions across the credit spectrum, in particular, cross-border and domestic financial restructurings, special situations investments, credit-led opportunities, event-driven financings and specialised lending transactions.
